Annual Support Critical for Southeast Students

Annual Fund programs around the country as well as at Southeast Missouri State are becoming more important than ever in these times of economic uncertainty.  These programs provide unrestricted dollars that are crucial for providing funds to scholarships, class improvements and matching grants.  By providing a constant cash flow, the Annual Fund can make a big impact on Southeast, allowing it to take advantage of special programs or projects.

Southeast is also turning to the Annual Fund as the State of Missouri cuts its higher education support.  When these cuts occur, Southeast is faced with budget reductions for programs, departments, staff and faculty.  Since it is necessary to focus on keeping current programs, state budget cuts hurt Southeast’s chances for taking advantage of opportunities to grow Southeast Missouri State and continue to provide top quality education to its students.  State universities around the country are relying on private dollars from alumni and friends to function, which is why it is more important than ever to give back to Southeast annually.

Your gifts to Southeast’s Annual Fund are greatly appreciated.  In return, if you give an annual gift of $150 or more during the course of the year, we look forward to honoring you as a member of the Copper Dome Society.  As a member of this society, you will be recognized in the Annual Report (unless you choose to remain anonymous) and invited to a celebratory dinner each year at Homecoming, honoring your generosity.

We thank you for showing your support to Southeast through your annual gifts and hope you enjoy your membership in the Copper Dome Society.  In addition, the Southeast Missouri University Foundation is working on other ways to recognize our generous alumni and friends who go above and beyond in support of Southeast students.  More to come soon!

Meanwhile, never forget that your ongoing support for Southeast Missouri State University is critical to the success of this University and its students.
